Few people can say they’ve seen the world the way Judy Morse has. A resident of East Hill for two years, Judy brings a spirit of adventure, resilience, and wonder to everything she does.
Her love of travel began in 1971, on her honeymoon to Mexico with her beloved husband, Herb. That trip ignited a lifelong passion that would take her to 78 countries, 13 U.S. states, and every continent except Antarctica. Among her most cherished adventures was a 60-day cruise around the world, a journey filled with discovery, culture, and unforgettable moments.
Even when life presented challenges, Judy kept exploring. As Herb’s health declined, they still chose to take one last trip together to the Panama Canal—a testament to their shared commitment to living life fully. After his passing, Judy continued her travels solo. At the age of 80, she set off to Portugal on her own, proving that curiosity and courage know no age limits.
Judy has documented her journeys through scrapbooks, travel journals, and an incredible collection of masks from around the globe, which now line the walls of her East Hill apartment. Her home here is not just a place of comfort, but a gallery of the memories, people, and cultures she has encountered.
Her story reminds us of what East Hill stands for: a place where passions are celebrated, independence is supported, and every chapter of life is embraced with open arms.
Judy’s journey is still unfolding, and we are privileged to be a part of it.
