A Life Assembled: Photographic Works from a Global Archive
Tuesday, May 12 | Reception begins at 3 pm
3030 Park Avenue, Bridgeport, CT 06604
Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Lonny Kalfus did not originally set out to become a photographer; he began at NYU Dental School before discovering his true creative path. After leaving dentistry, he built a distinguished career in photography, shooting for The New York Times and later focusing on work for graphic designers and corporate clients, including annual reports, advertising, and public relations assignments that often took him around the world. Lonny was represented by Iris Gallery in Boston and the Berkshires, as well as by Getty Images globally, and his work has been exhibited throughout the Hudson Valley, Boston, and in collections across the U.S. and abroad. In recent years, his practice has evolved toward photo collage, incorporating images gathered from decades of travel. In 2020, Lonny and his wife, artist Maj Kalfus, relocated to Connecticut to be near family and now reside at 3030 Park in Bridgeport.
Please RSVP by Wednesday, May 6th.
