We are delighted to host the opening reception of an exhibition featuring the work of Ralph Schwartz, an artist whose passion for creation spans more than 80 years.
Born in the Bronx, NY, Ralph has spent a lifetime exploring the full breadth of artistic expression, from oil paintings and pastels to sculpture – and most recently, printmaking. His work ranges from sweeping landscapes to intimate portraits, each piece a reflection of a keen eye and a deep love for the craft. Ralph studied at the Phoenix School of Design and the Art Students League in New York City, and has been an active presence in the New England arts community for decades, including serving as managing member of Elm City Artists, a co-op gallery in New Haven, CT.
His work has been commissioned, collected, and celebrated widely – including four oil paintings commissioned by the Yale-China Association. His awards span Best in Show honors, purchase awards, and first-place recognition across numerous juried exhibitions.
