The Long Journey: Photography, Memory and Mixed Media
Thursday, March 5 | Reception begins at 3 pm
3030 Park Avenue, Bridgeport, CT 06604
Rosalie Frost’s artistic practice is rooted in a lifelong balance between professional work and deep creative exploration. After early retirement from a career that included roles as a school psychologist, psychological researcher, and deputy chief of a New York City civil service examination bureau, she devoted herself more fully to photography and other creative pursuits. During the 1980s and 1990s, Rosalie studied extensively through workshops in the U.S. and abroad and at institutions such as the International Center of Photography, the Maine Photography Workshops, and the Catskill Center for Photography. Following retirement, she volunteered with cultural, historical, and environmental organizations, where she further expanded her photographic practice while deepening her engagement with science, history, and the natural world. A member of several professional photography organizations, including Soho Photo Gallery and Ground Glass, Rosalie’s current work moves beyond traditional photography into more personal, mixed-media approaches incorporating video, audio, text, memory, and family history – emphasizing the creative journey as much as the finished work.
Please RSVP by Monday, March 2nd.
